Mit der Serie Hand Head Foot Butt experimentiere ich mit dem Prägedruck. Mein Körper wird zur Prägepresse umfunktioniert und ich stanze mit verschiedenen Körperteilen wie Hand, Kopf, Fuß und Hintern jeweils eines dieser Worte ins angefeuchtete Papier. Dafür benutze ich für den Druck bestimmte Buchstaben alter Profi-Bleisetzkästen aus der ehemaligen Papierfabrik Steyrermühl, wie sie früher noch als Standard in der Zeitungs- und Buchdruckbranche verwendet wurden. Heute ist dieses Verfahren obsolet, da es vom weit effizienteren Digitaldruck abgelöst wurde.
In dieser Arbeit setze ich mich leicht scherzhaft einerseits mit dem Prozess der Herstellung einer Druckarbeit auseinander. Was braucht es um einen guten Druck herzustellen? Eine ruhige Hand (Hand), eine Idee und Köpfchen (Head), gutes Stehvermögen in der Druckwerkstatt (Foot) und letzendlich auch eine kleine Portion Glück (Butt, umgangssprachlich „Arsch“ haben).
Andererseits habe ich mich während der Arbeit in die Druckmachinen hineinversetzt. Durch das lange Arbeitne an Druckmaschinen in der Werkstatt entsteh mit der Zeit eine Art Beziehung und Sympathie für die Maschinen.  Es geht um Empathie, darum, das am eigenen Körper zu erfahren, was die Maschinen möglicherweise fühlen könnten. Für ein Leben in einer Gemeinschaft, als soziales Wesen , welches der Mensch ist, spielt Empathie eine bedeutende Rolle. Die Ergebnisse variieren in ihrer Lesbarkeit. Während des Druckvorganges werde ich fotografiert. Diese Fotografien werden für den Transferdruck verwendet.

On the series „Hand Head Foot Butt“ I experiment with embossing. My body transforms into an embossing press and I stmp with different body parts like hand, head, foot and butt one of this words in the wettened paper. Therefore I use letters which are produced for print. I found this old professional metal-movable-type in the former austrian paper factory Steyrermühl. They were used earlier in time as standard in the newsletter and book printing branche. Today this technique is obsolete, replaced by the more efficient digital print.
In this work I reflect playfully about the process of the creation of a print. What do we need to produce a good print? A calm hand (hand), and idea (head), it can´t lack endourence legs (legs) in the workshop and in the end there is always a little portion of luck (in a german saying it is butt) needed.
On the other hand I wanted to empathize with the printing machines. Since I work a lot on printing machines, after some time I developed a kind of relationship and sympathy for the machines. This piece of work is about empathy, about feeling with my own body what possibly the machines could feel. For a living in a community, as a social being that humans are, empathy plays a big role in life. The readability of the outcome of the pressing varies. During the process there are pictures taken of me and then used for the transfer print.
